Is a 10:00 a.m. flight out of Seattle too early?

We live on the East Coast. Our other option is a 2 p.m. flight.

We will be carrying our own luggage.

What is traffic like on a Friday going to the airport?

We are sailing on Explorer in 2 weeks.

That's too early. Way too early. It takes about 30 minutes to get to the airport and you need to arrive at least 90 minutes before your flight. That means you absolutely must be off the ship and in a cab by 8am. And then if all goes well with Friday morning rush hour traffic, you might be able to make it.
We live in Florida. When we sailed Alaska, we just stayed overnight after the cruise. It was much easier than booking the afternoon flight. We went to the hotel, dropped the luggage, did a little sightseeing, etc. It only added about $150 total to our trip.

I was thinking more of being off the ship ASAP....like 7 a.m. Maybe standing on line to disembark at 6 a.m.

I tend to be of the mentality that once vacation is over, it's over. At that point, I just want to get home!

Thank you!
