I found tickets for my family of 3 to fly from Rochester, NY (ROC) to MCO in April for $667, they are non-stop flights and at the perfect time of the day for our schedules. I'm worried there will be a sale and I will end up having paid $100 - $200 more than I want. I'm also afraid that if I don't book this flight now...all the non-stop flights will be gone. The non-stops work great for us as none of us really likes flying and the shorter travel time would make a big difference IMO. I know that the airline prices will continue to fluctuate but the price isn't the only thing I consider, the times of the flights and the fact that they are non-stop are the reasons why these are so attractive to me. My airfare limit is $700 and this falls within it. I don't want the dreaded buyer's remorse though!
This is the cheapest I have found, jetblue is $10 more BUT there is a layover at JFK on both the way down and the way back home. I've found flights through Orbitz with Delta, United and US Air that are atleast $50 - $90 over my limit. All of those flights have one (or more) layovers plus the times of the flights are kind of blah, on the day we go home we'd have to be at the airport at 6am! On airline websites the prices only go up and up and up. US Air was $1326.00 for our dates and times, with stops in NC that include 2 hour layovers. I could get flights for $750 but that would mean layovers and 2 legs of the flight being in those 37 seater prop planes (eek).
Okay enough rambling (sorry this is long and thank you if you're still with me at this point) Should I book now and get it over with to end the stress of watching the airlines like a hawk?!
