The weekly rate is kinda high but its the 3 extra days that bumped you up in price.

Book it and keep checking. The rates change all the time.

Try this:

Change the contract ID to: 6600330 (anyone can use) and if you can get a hold of an entertainment book coupon ($20 off) the rate will be $278.86

I got a full size for 8 days at National for $154.43 taxes and fees included! 28/13-2/20/05...Plus I have a coupon for a free upgrade...I'd say not so good!

Thanks Curly, I got that $278 rate, just like you said...I was using a BJ's code, that wasn't as good...any other tips? Like how do I get that elusive 3rd discount...or would you suggest breaking this into 2 5 day rentals? Thanks again

Okay used National w/ Contract# 5066940, Coupon # 10008698...I believe. My base reate for 1wk was 118.74 plus an added 19.79 for the extra day. My figures for you should be $178 before taxes....

To be honest I went to Mousesavers.com to the rental car section and just kept plugging in codes until I got the best combination. I can't be certain the ones above are the codes I used but they are the only ones not crossed off my notebook! But I do know that the codes are from Mousesavers...if it helps. I have another website I check but I forget the name it...I have it saved at work so I can post it tomorrow if it helps!

Comparing that time to earlier march or early Feb doesn't help much, since that's right around easter---it will be hard to get a "great" deal during that time.

We have a full size presidents' week rental for something like $240, and that was after trying a variety of codes (but before the entertainment coupon---I didn't have one at the time, and haven't gotten around to rebooking.) For a ten-day holiday period rental, I'd say you may not be getting the best deal possible, but you aren't being gouged.

We have also not done too well. An SUV with National (Emerald Reserve), using one of the Mousesavers codes above (the Priceless one) for $341. Our dates are 2/26- 3/8 (eleven days).

I don't want to buy the Ent book because I would only use this National coupon and it's too much of a hassle/cost just for that.
