Is 3 character meals too many?

i think you shouldnt cancel any of them! your DD will love it!!! we took our 12 and 10 y/os to 4 character meals and they still had a blast!! it may not sound like much fun yet, but youll enjoy the joy on your daughters face when she sees a princess for the first time!

We have 3 scheduled for our short 3 day trip -- Chef Mickey's for dinner, O'Hana for breakfast, and LTT for dinner. We have O'Hana and LTT on the same day -- we're having a late breakfast and entering the MK a little early for dinner. We're going to the P&P Party, and I want to make sure we're well-rested.

LTT is a bonus, and gets us into MK a little early. O'Hana is a must for our Stitch fanatic, and Chef Mickey's seemed like a great way to start our vacation.

I've also told ds we are not standing in lines all day waiting for autographs. If there's someone unique, sure. For someone he's already met, not happening this trip. With these reservations, he should be able to get the top 6, plus Lilo & Stitch. Plus, I will let him get the P&P characters that are repeats, for the different costumes. He's not into the princesses, so I think it should work out fine.

To answer your question, I don't think 3 character meals is too much. You can control the level of interaction so it's comfortable for your small child -- and you will get to eat real meals!

Well thanks for all the great info guys. I think I will keep 3 scheduled but I'm going to switch the GF cafe and try to schedule CP. What do you guys think is better the breakfast or dinner at CP?

For our 10 night August trip with my children 4,6, & 8 I have booked 5 character meals. CP breakfast & dinner (food is great at any meal there), OHana breakfast, 1900 Park Fare breakfast (we'll do all breakfast meals late so more like a brunch-get the park early-have a late breakfast and then break at resort before going back to the park at night) and we also have Garden Grill dinner at Epcot booked.

Ohana at the Polynesian Resort is a character meal? I booked dinner there on one of our nights and thought it was just a regular restaurant. The Playhouse Disney gang is at the Hollywood Vine N Dine, correct? I booked lunch there.

Breakfast at O'Hana is a character meal. Dinner is not. Breakfast usually has Lilo, Stitch, Mickey & Pluto, but of course that is not guaranteed.

Dinner has entertainment, but not characters. Sorry for the confusion.

We have 6 booked! It's our kids' first time to WDW and we're very excited! :cool1: I think it's part of the experience! (plus it avoids waiting in line at some character autograph sessions!)

That depends on your priorities.

If flexabity through your day is more important to you - I would go with the breakfast.

If on the other hand maxamizing your ride potential, and such is more important I would skip breakfasts so you can hit rope drop at the parks with no hassle.

Well what do you guys think is better food wise, character breakfast or dinner? If we do breakfast instead of dinner it gives us a little more flexability the rest of the day.

For our family, Yes. We see meals as a quiet time to decompress. ALL DAY LONG you're surrounded byt the sights, sounds, smells and tastes that are DIsney. It's great, but your sense need time to relax too. Character meals are fun, but not relaxing or quiet. Now, if you plan on going back to the resort each afternoon for a nap that is one thing. For us, we're park commandos, and one quiet sit down meal each day helps us keep going. Even buffets with no characters, where we all keep getting up for food, are more relaxing to us than character meals. They all seem very loud to me.

Got one char meal booked at CP. It is just me and the wife and we don't really care about the characters, but the food sounded interesting so that is that.

We have 4 character meals planned. DF says it's too many, in fact, he says it's 4 too many, but what does he know. :lmao:

We have six planned for 8 days in WDW...but we are character meal crazy!!
:woohoo:  :yay: :cool1:
Wait on line to see a character...who does this??

Just wanted to comment since I saw that you are going to Kings Island this summer. I live close to KI and we have season passes, so if you have any questions about the park, just let me know I might be able to answer them.

No, 3 isn't too many IMO. We have 3 real character meals planned (Chef Mickeys, Ohana breakfast, and Akershus), plus CRT for dinner. And that's with DS9 who doesn't want the whole trip to be about princesses. Otherwise, we'd probably have done 1900 Park Fare again too because DD5 loved it last trip.
