Is 26 days out too soon to buy Pop Tarts? A pre trip report

OK, so I’m a little concerned about these new airline regulations, so concerned that I have now decided to mail a box of stuff to my hotel so I know at least that stuff gets there without being confiscated. Most importantly, I need to mail Pop Tarts to myself (because Pop Tarts could easily be mistaken for weapons of mass destruction by airline security). I was feeling a little obsessive last night and I bought my Pop Tarts. We don’t leave until September 16, but those things last forever, right? Can I keep my husband from eating them until then? Can I keep myself from eating them? Who knows, but at least I have one thing checked off my Disney to-do list: “buy Pop Tarts” DONE!! Stop back to find out if my Pop Tarts of Mass Destruction make it to the ‘World!

I bought poptarts and gotarts approx. 2 months prior to our trip on 8/3 - I kept them in my car trunk in shopping bags until then otherwise my kids would have eaten them! Even though we ate them every morning and sometimes for snacks on our trip, we still had poptarts to bring home! We drove to WDW so I didn't have to worry about shipping them.

I found the chocolate gotarts at BIGLOTS for $1.88 a box, compared to SuperWalmart's price of $2.25 a box. The kids made less mess with the gotarts.
