Iron on help

I've managed to do some very simple designs and practiced an iron on tonight. I used Avery transfer paper. It looked alright but when I washed it, everything cracked. Nothing in the instruction sheet about that. Anyone have any clues what happen?

Had you washed and dryed the shirt prior to ironing on?

If so, did you use any fabric softener?

Sounds like you did'nt get all the sizing out of ths shirt.....
That is a chemical they use when making clothing...
transfers will peel like crazy...
I'm not a big fan of Avery products anyway they tend to peel and are a waste of money...
I buy this brand and it is excellent

thanks for the tip about Micheals transfer paper. I have mixed results with Avery also. I will try this kind of paper next.

Ah ha!! My practice run was on an old t shirt which I am sure is full of fabric softner!! I'll check out that other paper too! Thanks so much!!
