Those of you who have an Ipod Touch.......how long did it take for the novelty to wear off? LOL My daughter recently got one and I've been reluctant to even play with it thinking, and rightly so it seems, that I'd love the dang thing WAYYYYYYYY more than I wanted to.

So? If you've had yours for a while, has the novelty worn off or are you still crazy about it?

Oh and one other question.........would you get one if you had almost zero interest in using it for music and you also didn't have wi-fi readily available?

I've had a touch since September and I love it. I got it for free with my Macbook, and I never use the nano I had previously anymore. I rarely use wifi with it but I love how easy it is to choose songs, make playlists... everything. The battery on mine is also amazing and I love the apps you can add to it if you upgrade the software.

The kids use mine much more than I do. DS20months will hold it and watch CARS while I grocery shop. :thumbsup2

Now if I could just figure out if there is a way to lock the screen so DS doesn't keep stopping the movie....

I can't stand the touch typing - such a pain - but there are some fun apps out there.

Honestly it is an expensive toy that I wish DH wouldn't have bought.

It hasn't worn off for me yet. I should tell you though that we do have wifi, so I use it to access the internet more than anything. It's wonderful though. We put it on a docking station so we can hear the music, and at the same time we can check the weather or e-mail on it. It's very handy.

The nevelty has Not worn off for me! I still LOVE it. I always have it with me and love that if I'm waiting in line or in a waiting room I can read a book on it, or play a game, etc. I can watch movies in the car (not while I'm driving...but I will Listen to movies then). I can listen to basically any type of music at the touch of a button. I love it. I love it so much that I got the iPhone because I figured the only way to make it more wonderful would be to add a phone feature. ;) I was right. Now my husband wants my Touch...but I refuse to give it up.

My mom had so much fun playing with mine that she bought herself and my sister one for Christmas. Lol. She bought them Months before...and she'd take hers out every night after Nikki went to bed and play with it!! :rotfl:

Same exact thing with me. I adore my Touch. It is an awesome and fun little device. Its really more for fun then anything else. But the sound quality is amazing, the touch functionality is awesome, the apps are simply a blast, and overall is just a great little toy. The only problem I have right now is that Im running out of pockets. I just got a new cell and im scared to put anything in the same pocket as that. So right now I have mine sitting in my back pocket, and im so paranoid!

I got mine at Christmas and I still love it! I don't use it nearly as much as I did the first month, but I use it a lot! I even found a shopping list app so I can do my grocery shopping with it. :rotfl2:

I love mine; I've only had it about a month, but we're allowed to listen to iPods at work, so I watch--er, I mean LISTEN TO movies and TV shows all day while I'm working. :thumbsup2 The "touch" aspect isn't a huge deal to me, but the big screen is. I've owned every variation of iPod from the mini onward, and the only thing I'd change about this one is that it'd be nice to have more storage. I'm not a huge fan of having to micro-manage my library every day so I have a little variety at work.

I got mine in July for free, and the novelty has worn off, maybe because I don't have time to play with it anymore. i installed some apps and things, but usually, the only time I use my ipod is when I'm studying, so I don't need the extra applications. I could take or leave the wifi, because if I need the internet and I'm somewhere where there is wifi, chances are I've got my laptop with me, or there is a computer nearby. But, I'm not usually one to get so into techie things anyway, the only reason I got it was because I bought my cousin a macbook with my student ID, and the touch was free after rebate, so I figured why not?

My DS14 has one, got if for Christmas, and all I can say is I WISH the novelty has worn off for him, he is so distratcted by it all the time!
He loves all the aspects and uses them all pretty much equally. Wifi access definately is part of that love. He loves the apps too.
The one benefit I can say is that I've had a lot of access to his nano now that he hardly touches it anymore!
