IPOD help- How do I move music from Windows media player to iTunes list?

I purchased a generic MP3 player last year and purchased music from Walmart.com (88 cents each). The songs are now in my Windows media player.

My MP3 died after I run with it in the rain (thought it was protected), so I purchased an IPOD shuffle. I don't know how to move the purchased Walmart music from WMP into Itunes so I can download it onto my IPOD.

Can anyone help?

Have iTunes search for music.

You should be able to just add the files to your library.

Open I-Tunes >Under FILES drop down to ADD FILES TO LIBRARY and select all your files to add they should be in My Music if not just select one useing WMP and look at the source and it will tell you where it is.

OR just go to IMPORT MUSIC and it will do it that way as well.

In ITUNES go to the File Menu, choose import song and then find the folder where all of your music is. If the songs show up, try to import one of them. If that works, go back to the File Menu and select add folder. Then just add that whole folder of songs to your itunes library.

Thanks all, I tried everything, Itunes said it wouldn't accept the music, then went to Walmart.com site and found out the files will not be compatible with IPOD players.

I was worried that would happen. I have a Sony computer and I had ALL of my cd's loaded into the Sony Sonicstage program. NONE of them were compatible with ITunes, so I had reload them all (over 200 cds).

I love SONY but they have sooooo many anti-piracy programs hidden in their OS and other media it's not even funny.

I make back-ups of all my things I travel with so I don't have to take my originals with me and of all the ones that don't back up it's the SONY ones..

The Mini-disc ,UMD , is all so they can control the market for their items and it's not worth it for an outside company to make simular products to work in their systems.

Apples not much better but you can get software to convert songs back and forth.
