I am so excited but clueless. Today at work I won a 32gig Ipad. I have wanted one but mostly cuz others have one and it the toy to hay. DD10 has an Itouch and I struggle to use that. I guess I will have to spend some time figuring it out. Wonder if I can call in and stay home to learn to use this. Afterall, I did win it at work.

Both of my parents have iPads and it took them awhile to really get the hang out of it. They use them mostly when they don't feel like getting their laptops out. I can't use iPod Touches or iPads because my arms and hands are paralyzed but my mom said the iPad being bigger is easier to learn to control.

DH got an iPad from work, too, and it took him a little while to get the hang of it, but now he loves it and is always finding new things to do with it. After disagreeing with my decision to put apps on my itouch for DS2, he now has half a dozen apps for DS on his ipad, and is going to buy software so he can load DS's fav videos on it!

He loves it for travel, and found that the battery life is very good. He also really likes using it for email and quick web searches. Likes watching video on it, and has a couple favorite games he plays, too.

Back in June after the Ipads were out for about a month, I was having a bad day and DH wanted to cheer me up. Next thing I know we are pulling into the Apple Store. He said let's get you an Ipad. I had no clue what they were but we spent some time with the Apple tech and decided to buy one!

Yeah, we both love it!!!!! I am using it right now!!!!!

I also read recently that Apple is coming out with a free "printer" app for the Ipad by November!!!!!

Congrats OP, you will have it all figured out in no time!!!!! Go to Apple and buy a carrying case as well as a screen saver!!!!!

I think I may be getting DH an ipad for christmas.. but Im not sure!

He told me he was thinking of getting me one LoL!
