Heads up- are you staying at the new Polynesian villas/bungalows May 20-23rd? If so check your email! Just received an invite to test out the new programming being offered at Lilo's playhouse (Polynesian's childcare center) during our stay at a Polynesian Villa for our upcoming trip. The kids will get a complimentary visit for several hours one evening while hubby and i can have dinner on our own- I reserved a time and was directed to a page that said Disney would be contacting me to confirm. I won't change our dinner ADRs from four down to 2 until I get the confirmation of course. Nervous as I've never used Disney childcare before!

I stayed in one of the new Poly villas a few weeks ago. I have never used Disney childcare either but there were 2 women in the pool discussing Lilo's Playhouse. They both said that their kids love going there, they would much rather go there than out with mom & dad. They were also impressed by the security in place. Sounds like it you have nothing to worry about. Of course that is easy for me to say because my kids are adults! Enjoy your trip!!

While Lilo's was being rehabbed last summer, our two five year olds and two 7 year olds love both the Cubs Den and the Sandcastle club.

how was it? what activities did they do? @DisneyFirstTimer10

They LOVED it- I was really worried that my 9 yr old would be bored out of his mind, but nope! They had Lilo and Stitch come in and make goo with the kids- then there was a pizza party/luau party, and finally there was a funny "chef" who came in and made cookies with the kids which they then got to decorate. When I picked the kids up they were super excited to tell me about their evening.

Hubby and I had a nice dinner at California Grill then spent time at Trader Sam's. I am so glad I tried it out and in the future won't hesitate to send the kids to one of the kids clubs if DH and I want a date night in Disney.

Disney's kid clubs are great until about the age of 11. Dd loved going to a different one during our stays. Disney is fanatical about security and safety - don't worry. Grab the opportunity and go!
