Hi there,

Hope you don't mind a newbie jumping aboard. I live in Ireland and having returned from a fabulous stay in Orlando in late May/early June, we are now determined to return next year. Roll on bread and water for the next 10 months

You guys seem to be the experts in all things WDW and getting there from these shores, so I hope you don't mind me hanging out here and picking your brains. I did loads of planning before our last trip and most of it paid off, but I certainly learned from mistakes made.

The next trip will be the puppy's package for sure

Oh I am Mrs Lucha (Irish for mouse), there's a Mr Lucha, and two small Luchas aged 6 and 10.

Good to be here, makes Florida feel that much closer, especially considering the dreadful summer....52 days with rain and counting...

Cinderella, to answer your question. We wouldn't bother with Downtown Disney it just wasn't for us; we would stay onsite to get the DDP., (we were at the Swan this time); we'd stay offsite for the first 3 days to allow us to acclimatise and get the shopping out of the way; wouldn't bother with water parks or park hopper options on our tix; we definitely can't do more than one park a day, as dd has some sensory issues - (she has Down's syndrome); would build in a full day off from the parks to just chill out and we would definitely spend more time at Epcot World Showcase. I was convinced it was a glorified food court when we were there, only to discover that Disney characters were hiding in every country on our last day!!!

Marriott Horizons and then Floridays, both 2 bed condo resorts on IDrive, doing more seaworld and Universal than Disney so location will suit us nicely!

Hi Mrs Lucha, I am quite new to the boards too, welcome to the one place you can be sure to find an answer to any question relating to Orlando and what it has to offer.

We are going to Florida in September, it will be our third visit and we thought we would only ever go there once, but once is not enough!!!!
