New here and just wanted to introduce myself. I guess my love for Disney start at a very young for you see my name is Wende(my mother saw Peter Pan and always want a Wendy). I have not been to dis in about 10 years but am planning on going very soon. I have a wonderful husband and 2 beautiful daughters(princesses in training princess: ).

We are planning a trip to Disney really soon and would like to know when is the best time to go? We we thinking about going about Christmas time but not sure. What are the parks like Feb and March. We use to live in FL so we know what the weather is like. Thank so much.

Wende

p.s. love all of the trip reports that i have read. :thumbsup2

Hi! We went to WDW last Christmas and for us it was amazing. MGM was wonderful with the Osbourne lights in the evening and the "snow"!! We planned our trip to last through the first week of Jan too, so you get to see the normal parades as well as the Christmas ones!

The first three weeks in Dec. are not to crowded. Great time to go as all the beautiful Decos are up already. After the 23 of Dec. it is VERY crowded. We also go in may every year and it is a GREAT time to go!!! Very minimal wait if any at all!! Have funn planning and a great trip!!

Thanks for the info. We want to go when the crowds aren't too bad and the weather is good as well. Where did you stat when you went in Dec.

Welcome! Thanksgiving & Christmas are generally the busiest days of the year for Disney. Go to www.allearsnet.com - FABULOUS site with TONS of useful info - click on "Planning" in the light blue bar across the top, then on your left will be an "Attendance" link - click on that & it will tell you historically the busiest & slowest times of the year as far as crowds in the parks. I find that to be very accurate. It says the least crowded times are:

January (except New Year's Day) until just prior to Presidents' Week in February

The week following Labor Day until the week prior to Thanksgiving

The week following Thanksgiving until mid-December

As a child we always went the last week of Feb. and I remember it being crowded. As an adult I've gone in Sep, Oct. & Nov. - Nov. was by far the least crowded of the three. This year we're trying December - and hoping there's no crowds then either!

Again, welcome!

Mid DEC is a great time to go, Welcome to the DIS!
