I was able to interview Universal's Thierry Coup recently, the person responsible for designing Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey and the Amazing Adventures of Spider-Man at Islands of Adventure. He also worked for Walt Disney Imagineering, and designed Space Mountain at Disneyland Paris. He's had a pretty interesting career. You can find the interview using the link on our blog. You know, I asked Thierry Coup specifically about whether Universal was planning on adding a modified seat on Forbidden Journey, and his response was...

There are no plans at this time to offer modified/larger seats in order to accommodate larger framed riders.

Oh well, I guess things change...

That is strange but I'm glad they did! Looking forward to getting on it next month with one of my best friends and hoping she gets the yellow light.
