Swan and Dolphin have free high-speed wired in their guest rooms, but that won't help you this trip.
If you bring a landline prepaid phone card there is always good old dial-up, which should not be too much of a hardship if he is really only dealing with email or text documents. He would pay about .75 in hotel charges for each phone call to the 800 number, I think, plus the 3 cents per minute on the card.
(A 407 access number might work, too; but be careful with those -- some of them have monster surcharges when used from hotels.)
If he checks several times per day for long periods, paying the daily fee might cost about the same. If so, get a receipt for it and add it to your deductions.
