Internet issues

OK, I've now been at BLT, OKW and AKL this trip and have noticed that my ability to access my e-mail is virtually non-existent at BLT and AKL. Has anyone else experienced this? I am using the hard wire connection...
 
I had a simular issue in a Grand Villa at OKW in January. I called the support line but, they claimed it was on my end. Later we moved to a studio (after everyone else left) and I had no issues accessing my email.
 
We just returned from a 2 bedroom at BLT (were there July 27-Aug 4) and had no issues with internet. From what I had read I was expecting it to be slow and unreliable but it was actually pretty good.
 
I've had trouble at Disney getting and sending RoadRunner email. My Yahoo account works OK.
 

I've had great success with the internet at every resort we've stayed in...never even a glitch.
 
I use to have problems at WDW with my email using Outlook until I made my incoming and outgoing servers the same.

I haven't had any email issues, but we were having problems at BCV where it would drop out completely after an hour or so. I wasn't sure if it was my computer, but after moving to THV and BWV's it definitely appears that it was a problem either in the room or the resort.
 
I've had trouble a couple of times and called the support line and they were great. Once was actually the router in the room, but the other times they talked me through some changes on my netbook which worked perfectly and had no problem after that. I've had problems at BWV and BCV, but no problem anywhere else. I used my netbook (and wireless router) at BLT in May and it worked perfectly.
 
Bo problems at either BLT or BWV using my netbook and a travel router. Have yahoo and hotmail accounts.
 
We've never been able to connect to the internet during our DVC stays. They've all been at AKV. We've called front desk, support line and none of it has helped. Here's hoping for better things at BLT.

Your problems definitely sound like it might be your computer if it has happened multiple times. Most likely your firewall/security settings preventing the connection. Many of the support people at the resorts won't even attempt to change your computer settings, except the most basic ones.
 
Unfortunately, I got stuck working 3 full days on my last trip to VWL. We were in a 1BR and i was connected to the internet all day without a problem.

I hope I don't have an issue next month at AKV.
