So. I consider myself fairly computer literate. I can do everything I need to and a little extra. But, my mom downloaded an update to Norton while I was away and my computer has been acting really wonky since.
I can't log into anything, anywhere. Facebook, Yahoo, even AIM, I'm locked out. It tells me that my username and password are incorrect even though I've double checked each more than once. I keep my passwords written and update that whenever I change them. I typed each letter individually, thinking that my mind was moving faster than my hands and I was mistyping. Still no luck.
I'm also getting repeated script errors everytime I log on to my computer user. There's about 20 of them and neither the yes or no buttons work, I have to x out. And apparently, this Norton update did something to my Java Script. It's gone from my computer. I downloaded a replacement and followed the instructions to enable it, but I keep getting messages that Javascript is not enabled on my browser. I can't click anything other than an HTML link!
Ugh. It's been like this for 2 days. At first, I thought it was just an after affect of my mom not shutting the computer down after the update was downloaded, but when it came back today (after I, personally shut the computer down last night), I was worried, but brushed it off when most of my websites ran normally. Now, I'm not so sure.
