Not sure where to post this:

Does any one know of an inexpensive place for us to access the internet for a brief period of time (10-15 minutes) during our trip to the World? We don't want to bring our laptop and pay $10/day through our hotel just to quickly check our bill payments and e-mail once or twice during the trip. Internet access is not essential (we will set everything us to happen without out us, but its nice to check that the machines are behaving), but it would give us some peace of mind if there were somewhere inexpensive (or free) that we allow us to take a quick gander at a few sites...

Whenever we're in WDW both my husband & son check their emails in the Business Center at the Contemporary (located in the Convention Center wing) - Not expensive, something like $10 for a 1/2 hour

Appreciate the reply-- we will check this option out if we need to get online.

Some of the phones within the parks have web kiosks with them.

Depends on what you want to do on the web, but basic email and websites are available.
Just slide a credit card it and its like $.25/min. (i'm not sure)

The only one I have used is in Epcot, near the restrooms in Germany. But I've seen them all over.
Some of the websites were free, ABC/Disney/ESPN related websites are free.

good luck!

would using internet via modem at carribbean beach resort
be free... i would be dialing a local number for internet connection... so if local calls are free, internet via modem is free too right?

what is this $10 connection fee per day?
is this for high speed connection?

I am here at CBR right now. It is .75 for each local call. Unlimited time. I am using the dataport on the phone.

any one know if the phone kiosks allow hotmail access- or if there's an internet cafe anywhere off site on 192, Florida Mall or Lake Buena Vista? Sadly, work doesn't stop on holiday!

If you have Sprint cell phone service, I would contemlate getting unlimited web access on your cell phone. Purchase the snap dialer software and you have unlimited web access on your laptop. It is well worth the money.....we use it consistently

Swan & Dolphin have free inroom hi-speed for guests. Used it a bunch last trip, when a project went south on me in the middle of my vacation :(

For those without laptops, the business centers at the resorts with such facilities can do in a pinch. I don't have a laptop, and the CSR biz center was quite handy. Another poster above mentioned the Contemporary as well. In addition, there's a Kinko's somewhere near the Crossroads that should have slightly cheaper internet rates than the resort biz centers. Go to Kinkos.com and enter zip code 32836 or "Lake Buena Vista" in the locator to find the exact branch address.

If you are willing to go off site you can probably stop by the library. We access our email/accounts at public libraries wherever we go. You just have to make sure that you don't let the machine store your user names or password.

You can probably check out sites in Orlando by looking up the Orange County Florida web page.
