My SIL will be using some of our points for a vacation in Dec 09; is the internet free for member guests or does the member have to be there?

TIA

Janette,
It is my understanding that the member does not have to be there for the free internet access. As long as your SIL is staying in one of the DVC villas, then she will be able to utilize the free access.
She will still have to go through the same access as DVC members where it says that internet access is $9.95/day(think this is the cost) unless you are a DVC member. She just needs to accept, but shouldn't be charged.

Sounds good, they are staying at BWV on points but we weren't sure about the internet access.

But it still might show up on her bill when she checks out.

Deb do you mean it might show up but they can get it taken off or that it isn't certain that it will be free for a guest?

Anyone do this already?

If she is staying on your points then it should be free. The unknown part is whether they differentiate between member's staying on points vs. non-members staying on points, although I'm not sure how they would track this. I think the majority of the time its been reported that it was free as long as it was a points stay, regardless of who was using the points.

Sometimes it wont show up on the bill, sometimes it will but they should remove the charges when questioned about it.
