International Library of Photograpy/Library of Congress

Has anyone heard of this? Do you have a book? Tell me about it. I submitted a photo in a contest and and they are publishing my photograph under my copyright. They receive thousands of entries and have chosen mine to be published in Endless Journeys, a national publication.

It has been advanced to final competition where there are various prizes. I am not getting my hopes up, but it's kinda interesting.

Well, I'll preface my experience/opinion by stating I don't know about the International Library of Photograpy/Library of Congress
specifically. I do know about the International Library of Poetry/Library of Congress.

When I was younger, I wrote poetry. I submitted a poem to the above organization. They contacted me, told me it was going to be published. And for $50 I could buy the anthology. I didn't buy it. Nice to know it was published. I do know it was published, because I was invited to our city library opening as a VIP for being a published author in the state. (One poem! LOL)

Honestly, I always thought the International Library of Poetry/Library of Congress was/is a scam. Their main objective is to sell the anthologies. And I'm inclined to believe the same of the Photography one too.

I could be wrong about the photograpy contest. But it sounds very similar to the poetry organization. Food for thought.

After doing some research, it sounds as this is a big SCAM. Be aware people. I did not think I was a great photographer, but I do love this photo.
