can anyone go in and out of this entrance or is it for residents only?

The International Gateway leads to the Epcot Resorts, the Boardwalk Inn, the Yacht Club, Beach Club, Swan and the Dolphin. There is also a boat that can take you to MGM. There are lots of great restaurants over there, check it out sometime! :sunny:

It is worth planning some time in to go out through IG. We wandered around for ages and had a few beers and a bike ride.
Considering you are literally yards from Epcot, it is one of the quietest places in WDW. The atmosphere is so laid back it really gives you time to kick back and chill for a while.
Go in the afternoon and also the evening, as both are different but just as good.

Truly an experience that you should not miss

It's a nice break from Epcot - walk around the Epcot Resorts or the Boardwalk.

It's a really beautiful place, planning to go back there this year for a few hours, might have to check out the Boardwalk Bakery again - yum!

The resort lobbies are particularly lovely at Christmas! It's well worth taking a break from Epcot to walk over to see them. :sunny:

If you go through the International Gateway from Epcot to the Boardwalk and then back into Epcot does this only use one day of your ticket?

The IG is the same as the main entrance to Epcot - so if your ticket allows you re-entry on the same day to the same park and only using one day then yes :)
