Interior decorating and dormer windows

Does anyone have any ideas........or know of a good site that might deal with decorating a bedroom which has a dormer window? I am at a loss as to how to make it "appear" larger. I am sure there are some very talented DIS designers which may be able to offer some suggestions! I welcome any suggestions! Thanks.

The only thing I remember seeing once about making a window bigger, was to buy a larger curtain rod, place curtains on both sides of the window. If you can't see the edge of the window, it will appear that the window extends farther than it does.

did that make any sense? I think I just confused myself.

I have actually just pulled the curtains away from the dormer and it makes the room a lot lighter. It is a tough room to work with as there are not a lot of options for placing the furniture. Thanks for you suggestion, though. Maybe a different type of curtain would work better per your suggestion.
