Good Suggestions.

I would also add "Matilda" by Roald Dahl. A great book when your daughter hits 5th-6th grade (or even sooner) and they feel "different" from everyone else. I loved this book so much that when my teenage daughter wanted to send it off to Goodwill (after rereading it many times), I refused to let her. It's mine now!!
