Thought I'd share our day at the parks last week. We went on Monday and headed to Gringotts, in line by 8:10 with a 75 minute wait. Ride was down for a bit but we eventually made it in. Got on the ride, (first row!) left the loading area and....stopped. Waited about 15 minutes and then were taken off the ride and given 2 passes each inside, then one more as we were leaving. Headed over to Forbidden Journey and was told.... it was not operating. Decided to kill some time on Disaster, no effects at the end (or did they take them out?) and the train broke down while we were backing out! Another evacuation!
Now thankfully we did ride Gringotts twice and FJ with our passes, but really wish Universal would fix their problems!

Unfortunately things break down. Forbidden Journey is usually very reliable, as is Disaster. Gringotts, just like Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, is still ironing out the kinks and is down quite often! That's a shame that you got the triple whammy!

My worst breakdown at Disney was at EPCOT on Imagination. We were in the train room. Listening to the train go by over and over and over again. But, yea, it happens. Once at Busch Gardens, the chain broke on the second lift hill of Big Bad Wolf.

We got stuck on Winnie The Pooh at Disney. Right where Tigger keeps popping up. The song was stuck in my head for weeks. The eventually evacuated us and it was neat to walk thru it.

The trip before that, a woman fell onto the track and broke her leg severely. Like, bones sticking out (we were the next on, so we saw it all).

Needless to say, that ride makes me nervous :)

Almost two months ago, we got stuck on It's a Small World while taking our 3-year old daughter on her first trip.

We were in there for almost half an hour... you can imagine the sort of trance I was in.... almost jumped into the water! :lmao: :lmao:

Cheers! :drinking1

Marquibiri :thumbsup2

Okay, this is the worst one.:crazy2:
However, I'm still worried about how much EFG breaks down. The lines will be bad enough when I'm there at Thanksgiving. :scared1:

rides go down..Universal does not take rides out of operation for weeks at a time ( like Disney) so it is inevitable that from time to time they have issues.
