I am a travel agent and we get interesting calls all the time. Today was one of the oddest. A lady called and told me how she had met a ship's Dr. on a cruise ship several years ago. They had a romance but she didn't follow him back to England like she should have. She kept in touch until about 8 years ago. Now she is getting a divorce and wants to go on a cruise that he is working on. She wanted me to call the cruise line and find out which ship he was working on and then book her on that cruise. The other option was the address for the cruise line so she could try to contact him through them. Ok. I was a bit flustered by that call so I told her I would get back to her. After hanging up and telling my co-workers we all agreed that she was a bit of a stalker. No cruise line was going to give me that info and who knows if he still works for them. A lot can change in 8 years. I called her back and left a message to have her call me. I don't really know what to tell her other than give her the address and let her try on her own. ( I even tried to Google his name and no entries came up. Maybe he doesn't exist?
