I went to Disneyland Paris for the reopening weekend last week and today I've received a survey.
The subtitle is as always 'we'd love to hear your opinion about your recent stay'. Like last year, I expect a survey about the Covid measures, comparisons to last year etc. but it's nothing like that.
It's about all the commitments and projects Disneyland Paris has to protect/improve the environment.
When the survey asked me to name their projects, I could only think of the solar panels at the parking lot. Many projects like no one-time-use plastic bags, paper straws etc, just didn't come to mind. They are doing a lot more. there is just not a lot of promotion about it.
It was a very interesting survey. I hope they will use the results and we can see the results.
Is there anything like this currently going on for the US parks?
The list of questions:
General:
- How personally involved do you feel about below environmental issues? Answers like; Water, garbage, energy, biodiversity, etc.
- Which is the most important?
- To what extent do the following statements apply to your personal life? Answers like: I recycle, I chose environmental conscious vacation destinations, buy 2nd hand, by in bulk, etc.
- When you chose a certain mode of transportation, do you think about your ecological foot print?
- Do you know environmental friendly companies (name which ones and why) ?
- How environmental friendly do you rate the following companies? Companies like Air France, Coca Cola, L'oreal, National Geographic, Amazon, and German competitor Europapark.
- Is it a reason to buy from a company, when you know it's environmental friendly?
- Do you pay a higher price to be sure you buy an environmental friendly product?
Disneyland Paris:
- Which environmental friendly activities/projects at DLP do you know? Open question
- Which environmental friendly activities/projects at DLP do you know? Multiple choice from a list of projects (as mentioned I knew a lot more than I could think of in the previous question)
- Which of these are the most important to you?
- Let's say DLP implemented all these activities, how would you describe DLP's dedication to the environment? (Very positive; an example. Reasonably positive; other companies do more)
- Let's say DLP implemented all these activities, does that impact your opinion on DLP?
Below three question had a very strict warning not to share the answers ;-) So let's not. But in general they are your average environmental commitments companies have nowadays, about reducing certain numbers.
- Here is a list of activities DLP could invest in / evolve more, which are the most important to you? Choose max four.
- Out of these four, which one is the most important to you
- Out of the list, which are the least important to you?
- Are there environmental commitments DLP should have?
- What is the best way for DLP to involve their guests in environmental activities/projects? Multiple choice: Communicate more, have an app, have conferences / activities guests can participate in, reward guests for behaving correctly (very interesting that last one)
- For which things would you consider paying more? Products / services with an environmental label, biological food/meals, climate conscious hotels.
And then the 2 bonus questions ;-)
- Do I have Disney +
- Do I intend to keep using Disney + for the next 6 months
