Fun stuff! My brother in law gave me a souvenier book tonight from circa 1984- a hardback one with tons and tons of pictures. I love it! And a booklet from the opening day (or within a month or so) of the Disney-MGM Studios! It was very sweet of him.

The one ride I do remember from my visit to MK in 1976 was the "If you had Wings/If you could fly". I remember going through that tunnel in a slow moving car that was leaned back and fans were blowing in your face, and sand dunes were flying by. I looked at the floor and we were moving about 2 miles per hour! It was the coolest effect I had ever experienced (up until then).

There have been times since then that I thought I dreamed that experience at WDW, but apparently not.

I remember a lot of that stuff!! Gee, doesn't seem like the 'old days' to me!!!

I really liked looking at the ones from Fort Wilderness. We didn't stay there til 2000 and enjoyed seeing the way it used to be. One post card really looks great....it shows an older rv with a campsite literally NEXT to a canal....there is even a canoe paddling by! I have no idea where that site is, but I would love to have it!!

I'm just bummed that I didn't get to go to WDW until 1998 at the age of 39 -- look at all I missed. I have some catching up to do!!!

Dan, this is AWSOME! Boy does it bring back some wonderful memories. I've been reading and looking at this site all morning and just smiling. I remember ALOT of this stuff from my childhood.

Can't WAIT to take my little guy in about a month and start making some new memories.

Some of the stuff they got rid of should have stayed!
