We are here at BWV for our last day. (OCT 18-21)
This year we invited some friends of ours to go with us. We'd reserved two STD view studios at the 11 month window. Even though we put the room in their name when we made the reservations, we didn't extended the invite to them at the 6month prior point (since most people don't plan as far ahead as we do, we didn't want to shock them
). Our original idea was to go to enjoy the F &W festival, but the DH had never set foot inside WDW and the DW had gone when WDW first opened, so as a tour guide I was a little bit nervous.
Their airplane arrived 4 hours before us, so we mailed the confirmation to them along within information about the resort. By the time we were on our way from the airport, they had already checked in and had enjoyed a dip in the pool. They really liked their room.
We spent the next 4 days as close to commando style touring as we have in ages.
We told our friends that we don't normally spend so much time going on the rides (normally we would have probably only have gone to EPCOT on this visit), but we wanted them to have a sampling of the different parks. We did visit all 4 parks. Our friends were really good sports and went along with the plan from early morning to late evening.
Each night we topped the evening off with a show--Friday night it was Wishes, Sat Illuminations and Sun was the 9PM Fantasmic Show (they had to leave Mon afternoon).
Last night we were at a more relaxed pace. After we said our goodbyes yesterday afternoon we went over the DVC sales office at SSR to look at the BLT model. We also took a peek at the AKV model. Both were very nice. We also took a walk on the golf course to look at the THV construction. Then, we went over to CR to take a closer look at the progress of BLT. It's looking real nice.
We had dinner at Tutto Italia and made it an early evening and we came back to our room. What a nice surprise to discover that we had a very nice view of Illuminations from our patio. We are on the first floor in the 1097-1121 section).
We've had a wonderful time. Today, we are going to take it easy. After we check out, we'll do a little bit of shopping at The Screen Door (Gotta check out the DVC stuff
) and then (hopefully) lunch at the Kona. This afternoon, maybe some more shopping at DTD and then off to the airport. (Waaaah! I don't wannna go back!)
