Sam, we're one of the people Nana mentioned who filed due to quarantine. I put out a thread on this after our January cruise, and again in March when we got our reimbusement. Here's our story.
On our 4 day cruise in January, DS threw up while participating in the kids club the end of the first full day. Counselors told us to take him to sick bay to be checked. Second full day, DD threw up once in the morning. DS was fine. We checked with medical and guest services, and they said to enjoy the day in
Castaway Cay, but not to put the kids in the club until they were fine through the afternoon. That evening, DD threw up again, and admitted that she had been having diarrhea all day long. DH took her down to sick bay, and we were officially "quarantined". DH then came down with it the following day. DH and DD were to stay in the room until we returned to port, or 72 hours (we were in port at about 60 hours).
Guest services told us to file a claim with Access America. I called them when we got back, and they sent forms to fill in. I put together a timeline, and requested that we be reimbursed for a pro-ration of the time we missed (something like 2.5 days out of the 4 days * price of the cruise). Even though DS and I weren't officially quarantined, he couldn't participate in the clubs, we couldn't eat in the dining rooms, and they asked us to limit contact with other guests. Given that, I felt like our vacation was limited as well.
Access America was great. They asked if we had any medical expenses, (which we didn't since the ships medical center didn't charge us for anything), and sent us a check for exactly what we asked for about 6 weeks later.
Hope this helps. Feel free to pm me if you have any other questions.
