Insurance experts, please give your opinion...

Hi! We are going (again) on the Magic next year. I have always bought insurance from insuremytrip.com before. I was reading through the insurance brochure last night and saw where Disney will cover 75% of the cost if you cancel and it is not covered. (IF you have the Disney insurance.) Please, if you have experience or expertise in this area, give your opinions. We booked on board so we have a really good cancellation date etc. What I am concerned about is unexpected illness or death with elderly family members. Thanks in advance for your help.

Trying again. Please comment on the DCL refunding 75% if you cancel and it is not covered under your policy......

If what you are concerned about are elderly or ill relatives, those would be covered. If your job could possibly require you at the last monute to cancel then you'd be glad you had the 75% deal. What else could come into play that wouldn't be covered but would cause a last minute cancellation? An adoption suddenly happening at the last minute? Just decided you didn't want to cruise? Losing a job?

Thanks for your response. You have given me more to think about. Yes, I am mainly concerned about older relatives. Not all immediate family. My husband has a very large family. But I guess other things could come into play. We own our own business and you never know what might happen with employees...Our 3 year old was adopted, and even though it was not unexpected we never really believed it would happen. As it turns out, The bio mom walked out of the hospital without the baby, signing a form that she turned her over to our care until the adoption was final. But one thing for sure, we would NEVER just decide we did'nt want to cruise!
