Inspired: What movies have you walked out of?

Well, I wanted to walk out of The Insider (Russell Crowe) but I didn't. I was just SO bored. I forget why I didn't walk out.

The only time I actually fell asleep in a movie was some thing with Danny DeVito back in the 80's...hey maybe somebody knows the name of it like they did with "Legend". DeVito was some guy who worked in a factory I think, and he loved some woman, I think, who's father was the boss of the factory, I think, and then zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Pulp Fiction...there was a large group of us and we couldn't stand it! I know it got rave reviews but we hated it

I've left a few over the years! Romy and Michele's High School Reunion,Four Weddings and a Funeral (I would have preferred to be at a funeral than see this movie again!!), The Color Purple (YAWNNNNNNNNNN) and Stewardses in 3d...that one was so bad the whole theater rioted and made them give us all our money back!! I would have left Chariots of Fire too if the person I was with didn't want to stay! I like good funny movies...I can't stand goi nto see a sad movie, why pay to sit there and cry!

I didn't walk, I RAN (with a friend who was with me at the time) out of "Child's Play". I still can't look at certain large, plasticy-rubber dolls to this day without thinking of that movie. :scared:

TOV

I really really really wanted to leave Starship Troopers but my boyfriend at the time LOVED it.

I fell asleep during one of the Batman movies. Sadly I don't remember which one. After consulting IMDB ETA that it was the second one, Batman Returns.

I really wanted to turn off Napolien Dynomite on DVD but everyone said how good it was. I just kept waiting for it to be funny. I love dialog driven movies and I just didn't get it. Now Spinal Tap is one of the funniest movies I've ever seen.

"The Postman" (Kevin Costner)- Painful.

All 3 Lord of the Rings. I started to watch each one at different times for my DH. Just wasn't my thing. I'd run out at the gory parts. Which was pretty much the whole movie x3.

Midnight Express. Went with my best friend years ago. We should have left sooner. We should've gone to a comedy.

"Waterworld" (with Kevin Costner) at home. Only watched about 1/2 an hour. Painful

Should've left for, "Lost in Translation." (I'll never think of Bill Murray in the same way.), "Manhattan", and more that I've pushed out of consciousness.

I don't think I have ever walked out of a movie, I always wait for it to get better, but I do fall asleep quite often (sometimes in good movies too).

I'm not really particular about movies, if it is entertaining in some way I will watch it. A lot of those posted have been movies I liked (of course my husband calls me "Queen of the B movies" as I love horror movies and will attempt to watch every horror movie put out).

I will have to agree about the Thin Red Line, most boring movie ever!

The Matthew Broderick Godzilla was the closest I've ever come to walking out of a movie.

SO, so bad.

I haven't ever walked out of the theater, but I had to quit watching "The Matrix" DVD after about 15 minutes. "Is it real or is it the Matrix?" WTH? and who cares? :confused3

:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: I think it's mainly a computer/geek-man movie. Just about every guy I know is crazy about this one. Not for me either.

So true! :rotfl:

My DH rented it and told me I would like it. When I just couldn't stand it anymore, I said, "What about this movie made you think I would like it?" DH said, "Well...I had hoped you would." And then he made this face: :teeth:

I've only walked out of one, Sin City. Oh I hated it so much, disgusting and B-O-R-I-N-G.

What movies have you walked out of?

I have never walked out of any movies. I nearly walked out of The Others because I was scared to bits, and I nearly walked out of Holy Man because a rude moviegoer was painting her nails  In retrospect we probably should have just moved.

And talk about boring, Being John Malcovich, that was a big yawn-I nearly took it back to Blockbuster within the first ten minutes. Worst movie that I've seen.

When I was in college I worked a movie theater that was considered the "arty" theater in town.

Two movies that caused a big stir: "Henry & June" a film about Anais Nin and her relationship with an American writer and his wife (the Henry and June of the title). It was Not Rated, and since the subject matter included sex and lesbianism, everyone assumed it was next door to a porn film.

Well it wasn't - by today's standards it would be downright tame, the sex scenes were implied at best, and maybe some naked ****s. We had lots of young people walk out of that film because it wasn't dirty enough.

The other movie was "The Cook, The Thief, His Wife, and Her Lover" which I think was actually rated X. Again, everyone thought it would be supersexy, but it was about cannibalism and had a lot of gross violence.

This was 15 years or so ago, after seeing something like Natural Born Killers or Pulp Fiction, it's hard to believe the movie was so controversial, but lots of people walked out of that one.

I have never walked out of a movie, too cheap to waste the $$.

Dracula Dead and Loving It. I NEVER walk out on movies. But we just couldn't take it. Where have you gone Mel Brooks?

I walked out of Any Given Sunday about 5 minutes into it.

I have not walked out (too cheap to leave), but if I HAD "The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou" would be the first.

It sucked (pardon my french) beyond alll comprehension. InCredibly Bad.
