Ours just went from $600 per year to $1088 per year.   . We have $250 deductibles and the difference to go to $100 deducts was about $150 less per year.

That premium is based on $88,000 dwelling coverage.

$182,000 coverage on the building with a $1,000 deductible for $528 a year. That includes earthquake coverage.

You have to shop aound. When we moved to Florida 6 months ago State Farm quoted $1,150. I went to Farm Bureau which quoted $650, but the stupid agent didn't get the paperwork done for the closing. The lender found me Vanguard and I pay $389. $120,000 coverage with $500 deductible. They just kept saying lots of hurricanes in Florida.

We pay about $300 per year for full replacement coverage and a $250 deductable for a $125,000 home. No earthquake coverage here Don!;)

How did you get that???????????????????? I'm in the darned JUA and the rates are ridiculous since Hurricane Andrew!!

We live in Central Illinois where we have no hurricanes or earthquakes..just tornadoes.

We pay 782(last yr it was 590) for 260,000 dwelling coverage, 201,000 for contents, ect. We have a 250 deductable. Our insurance is thru State Farm Insurance! We have no extras for jewerly or electonic equipment.

wow......I can't believe how much ours is. We have State Farm too. I have shopped around too. the dwelling coverage is $88000 but our house just appraised for twice that.
but I think they use a factor in rebuilding costs.

I should point out that we did have a flood claim last year and the renewal says $240 of the increase was attributed to that.
but that still means our insurance went up over $220 since last year.
either way that sucks. Even USAA (our car insurance) couldn't do much better than $100 less and thats with a $500 deduct and no knowledge of the State Farm claim. :(

We paid last year $355 for a $101.000 replacement for the house, and we have $1.000 deductible.
We don't live on tornado or earthquake alley but we have a lot of problems with snow and ice on the roofs in the winter. We had our roof replaced three years ago because it was caving in , of course they tried to get off the hook paying for it but we didn't let them and they paid almost $10.000. Still with that our next policy didn't go up more than $30 for the year.

Ours is $500 something... maybe $505. Its I think for $150,00 (or more ). I do know the deductible is $500 and its through Met Life.

We pay $750 a year. $300,000 replacement on houe, and $150,000 for contents. I also have $10,000 rider for Jewerly.
