Inspired by the "finding out/telling dh thread" did you find out the sex of the baby

Nope. They didn't have ultrasounds when I was pregnant and amniocentesis was reserved for older mothers or possible high risk pregnancies and it wasn't an issue when I was pregnant.

I wouldn't have wanted to know the sex anyway. I would want to be surprised. But, as I said, it wasn't a choice for me in 1975.

First preg. was 19 years ago,and they really didn't do a lot of u/s.I just knew from the beginning he was a boy,and I was right! Second time around I had to have an amnio due to my age,and I did want to know just to be able to prepare better. We found out that we were going to have a perfect little girl!
I have been blessed.

i found out. i was 5 months when i went into labor. they had to stop it and did an ultrasound. i had placent previa so it was an issue. horrible pregnancy. anyway. i knew going into the pregnancy that i would be a single parent. i chose to not give DS up for adoption. so i needed to be prepared.

Didn't find out either time, but knew for sure they would be boys. And I was right. :) I knew I was destined to be the mother of sons. :)

We found out but will have to wait a few more months to see if the US was right!

I wanted to know and they were correct. I knew they were not always correct, but I did tend to buy boy looking stuff :)

We did not want to find out with either pregnancy, although I knew (don't know how, mothers intuition?) with both pregnancies what I was having. I was scheduled with first pregnancy for an amniocentisis (my brother is physically handicapped and my mom's sister had downs syndrome), but I cancelled the day before. DH and I decided that if something was wrong I wasn't going to have an abortion.....so it was left in God's hands. If that is what he gave us we would accept this. Needless to say, DS was born healthy as was DD 4 years later. I liked the surprise:)

Yes through ultrasound and all three were correct - boy - boy - girl. Middle DS we were not supposed to know but technician slipped and referred to him as "he" and tried to backpedal but I could tell she knew what she was looking at!
