I am the youngest of 4. My sister is 12 years older than me, my brother 11 years older and my brother, who died 11 years ago, was 6 years older than me.
Even though we are so far apart in age, we have always gotten along wonderfully. I know that I can always count on my siblings to be there for me if I need them and they know I will be ther for them.
My sister keeps my dd for me when my mom cannot and her grandkids stay with me sometimes too. I am very close to my sister's daughters and their children.
My brother doesn't live as close to us but not very far away. When my husband is gone during the week and I need someone to fix a flat or something, all I have to do is call.
Losing our brother 11 year ago (and our father 1 month prior to that) made us all realize how important family is. We are all very different and lead very different lives; but we accept the differences and love each other anyway.
