To me horseback riding is a hobby. Like if you are just gonna sadle up your horse to ride out on a trail then no it is not a sport, but if you are competing/showing then it is one. For me, i wouldn't want to show a horse, too much work and money. But riding them is gret, i wish i had one
I agree with Nicole. If you're really serious about it and you compete and everything, then yes. If you're just riding for fun, then it's just a hobby.
But dont you compete for fun? did you know that horse riding is one of the most dangerous "sports" in the world? I know a couple of ppl who died from riding! And it really aint as easy as it looks, you got that right.
I think that if you do it for fun, it isn't a sport, like if you play checkers for fun, it isn't a sport, but if you compete, it can be considered a sport. My cousins live on a horse farm and they compete in shows. My one cousin, like I said awhile back, was in a horse incident- the horse kicked her against a fense. Didn't in the Horse Whisperer, the girl died? I don't know, I wasn't paying much attention
