Inspired by SSB - Define "Dealee"

I couldn't believe Sideshow Bob's thread title, using the word "dealee." My kid has been using this word to replace every other noun in any given sentence. I thought there was something wrong with him, but then I saw SSB's title. And it ocurred to me...maybe this is new slang and I finally managed to get "behind the times." What's up with this word?

Yep Dealee is to Deal as Thingy is to thing.

My child's newest slang word is "SNAP!"

I feel like I've heard the word "dealee" all my life. Maybe I would spell it "dealy", but I don't know. Like RadioNate said, same as "thingy". Kind of like doo-hickie, thing-a-ma-bob, whatchamacallit.

SSB - you use the word so eloquently...

but let me illustrate the slang vocab overuse syndrome of a 12 year old...

This morning I drove to work and found a dealy to park in. I walked to my building and rode the dealy to the second floor. First I adjusted the dealy I sit on then plugged my laptop into the dealy on my desk. I hit the little dealy which turns it on, then I waited for the dealies (plural variation) to come up on the screen. Lots of dealies listed in my email....

Like the PLURAL though, have never used that one. Shall have to incorporate soon...
