My (now former) MIL was a real pro at back handed insults, but I always let them roll off my back and treated her politely. My ex told me that when he told his mother and sister (both live in Fla.) that I had left him, they both said they didn't blame me. I sent MIL a nice birthday card soon after that and have never heard from her, even though I am raising her two grandchildren. That was in 1994. As time goes by, I see that the lack of communication on her part is probably better for my kids and me.

Well I have the MIL and Her mother I CAN'T STAND EITHER ONE. They have tried to come between both dh and I ever since we have been together. Since they are BANNED from my home we don't have a problem anymore. I can give you some examples of what she did to my dh sister and her husband.

1. Mil threw sil and her husband's baby furniture out on the street because she felt it was not good enough for the baby.

2. She put bil out of his OWN house two years ago.

3. MIL's mother took her daughter/my mil over to ANOTHER WOMAN'S HOUSE TO FIND FIL

4.Mil has caused sil (who is as silly and simple as her mother) marraige to completely breakdown.

5. Sil tried to commit suicide because of the hell mil put into her marraige.

6.Mil talked about me to my kids who in turn told me everything.

The list goes on and on. The biggest problem with me is THEY CANNOT CONTROL ME! They have tried many times but have never accomplished this becaus I always knock them down.
I started a thread on the DB board about Banning my Mil.
She is BANNNED BANNNNNED from my home. I have no respect for this woman nor her mother. They are the truely SATANs Children.
I refuse to take any crap off of them "EVER" My bil was a spineless whimp who let them walk all over him.


They tell their friends I'm "MEAN" oh well if standing up for myself is mean than I WILL BE THE MEANEST WOMAN ALIVE UNTIL I DIE!

well my story seems very small now but here goes...

Last month was our wedding. Richard's family (brothers and SIL's) did not come to help us decorate the hall because they were getting drunk at the cottages my parents own and they were staying for free.
The worst thing is that they kept calling DH to see if he wanted to join them for the party. DH said "No we are decorating and are going to be here till at least 1 am..." They then said that he should come over after...

They keep telling us we are crazy to go back to WDW and say that nothing there is of interest to them but they have never been. the ones who keep saying that have never been anywhere.

and to top it all off. One of his brothers gave Richard a Star Wars thing for the wedding but nothing for the both of us. The other 3 have not given us even a card and they make upwards of $100 000 a year each couple. We put them up and fed them the whole time they were there. 3 of them never even thanked my folks or said that the cottages were even nice.

Thank goodness I like one of them and I LOVE his Dad and Grandmother or I would never see any of them again
