Inspired by Pembo- what do you *wish* you did for a living?

While I was responding to the "What do you do for a living" post, I started to post future plans, but then I decided that was a whole other topic, so here we go!

Next year, I'm taking some classes in Hollywood so that I can do makeup for films & tv. Not sure yet how long I'll do that- can you tell I have a short attention span? I'd like to get into travel writing for a while, either articles for travel magazines, or maybe a guidebook. Eventually, I want to be a stay-at-home mom, and teach horseback riding lessons in my spare time.

All of my life I wanted to be a preschool or kindergarden teacher. I even had a scholarship and attended Trenton State College (now the college of NJ). I was a fool and dropped out to be home with my then bf. All a big mistake and I regret it to this day. We have a Headstart next to where I work and I visit all the time.

Yes, the pay stinks, the benefits are good, and I'm off when my kids are off..

Over the summer I am going to try to get enough credits so I can substitute

I wish that I had so much money that I could be a philantropist, but unlike the joke that 100%Disney told, I'm serious about that. Having the money to be generous all the time and just work for the benefit of others... yep, that's what I'd like to do.

I thought of something else. I think I also want to be a fairy, tag fairy that is. I've seen so many great lines in posts that should be in people's tags. Some of the things said or posted here are a riot.

I would love to run an affordable daycare or a big foster home that has a family feel to it.

I'd love to be a travel writer, since I love to travel.

Also, I would love to go back to interior design.

I really believe I am best suited for being a personal shopper though. I LOVE shopping and am extremely knowledgeable about what stores carry what brands, and where all the best deals are. Be it clothes, furniture, home decor, etc. just ask me! I also think I have impeccable taste.

I'm a lawyer, but I wish I could be a SAHM. (Although I like 100%Disney's pick, too -- it would be pretty amazing to be an L&D nurse, or maybe a midwife!)

A "Barbie doll tester" for Mattel. I collect Barbie, and the fringe benefits would include being given at least one of each doll. (This "job" is totally made up by me).

I would love to work in historic preservation or antiquities in some way. I love old things and would enjoy helping some of them survive. If I were a philanthropist, I could see a lot of my money being spent in this area.

If not that, I would love to somehow work with animals. Whether for a veterinarian or shelter, I see this as being very rewarding.

I would also love to work for a theme park but the good ones are a little too far.
