Inspired by pattyT's jewellery post: Where do you keep your jewellery?

When I was younger I kept all of mine in jewellery boxes, but when we had our bedroom furniture made a few years ago, they built a special jewellery drawer with compartments.

I always put my watches and rings overnight on the bedside table.

Where do you keep your jewellery?

I used to keep it on my bedside table or my computer desk (in bedroom) until DS started stealing it and hiding it!

Then I put it on top of my roll top desk (also in my very large bedroom) in a very small jewlery box -

now in light of recent events I put the real expnsive stuff not worn every day in a fireproof-locked box, and the rest in my underwear drawer!

I ought to be slapped, but I keep all my rings and jewelry in the top drawer of my computer desk. That way its always near me. I should really keep it someplace safer, but I don't.

[color=0066ff]I keep mine in a jewelry box that used to belong to my aunt. The outside of it is a blue velvet material that had faded really bad so I took a blue sharpie and drew swirls all over it and it looks like new.[/color]

I have one of those big jewelry boxes. It has lots of drawers and both sides come apart for necklaces.
I think my h was feeling ambitious or something. My good stuff takes up less than one drawer.

The stuff I wear every day hangs out on my desk when I don't have it on. Everything else is in my two jewelry boxes.

I have a new little box DH gave me for Christmas on my desk, that's where I put what ever I wore to work that day, Eventually it gets moved to the Armoire box he gave me a few years ago. He also gave me a little crystal heart shaped box that is in the master bath, that gets the earrings from my first holes (the only ones I take out) at night. I have costume jewelry in a drawer in mt dresser and a lot of my good stuff in another drawer, because I don't have enough room in my jewelry armoire. I have too much, and fortunately, DH knows I always want more. I need a dresser just for my baubles!

in a gold cloth-covered square jewelry box that my boyfriend (not DH) gave me when I was 16. It has one of those little ballerina's that dances and it plays music. I'm not really into jewelry all that much so have never had the need for anything bigger or better.

My husband bought me one of those 4-ft. tall jewelry armoires for my birthday last year. All of my good jewelry is in there and FINALLY organized. I have a lot of costume jewelry that I don't wear anymore and that stays in one of my nightstand drawers. I let my youngest DD play with it.

When we go on vacation I haul all the good stuff over to safety deposit box though.

I don't have much jewelry. If I don't wear my wedding band, it's on top of my jewelry chest -- which is empty besides a tie chain DH has in there.

The one piece I have of value is my mom's wedding ring. After she had a stroke, she was no longer able to wear it and gave it to me. It should be in our safety deposit box but it isn't. I will never wear it and it does have alot of value to it. It's hidden away where only DH and I know where it is. I guess if it's ever missing, I know who took it.

I have 1 teeny tiny jewelry box that I keep my jewelry in. I don't have much jewelry. I constantly wear what I value the most though. It's more sentimental value than monetary value.

I just weeded out my jewelry. There was a lot that I don’t wear anymore. I think I’ll offer it to my niece. Most of what’s left is in a small jewelry box on my dresser, except for my rings which are in their original boxes in one of the drawers. There’s nothing of any real value, other than sentimental.

I like the armoires - BUT -
as devils advocate here - I haven't gotten one because I keep thinking that it is a HUGE advertising piece for robbers!

That's an easy answer for me....nowhere because I don't have any!! I do not like jewelry , yes you read it right, I do not like jewelry , never did.
Oh yeah, wait, I do have a watch, my Pooh watch and it's in my purse.
I have a couple of pieces of jewelry that belonged to my grandmother and the only reason I have them is to pass them on to my children when they get older.
