First let me say sorry forgot NHPluto - ok Chloe(bellyrub).

From all the posts to the second biggest announcement since Disney started selling pins,I see alot of us here intend to head south someday.

Are you amongst them? Yes

When are you going? 7 years

Why not now? I am legally obligated not to abandon my DS

And are we all gonna stay in an RV in Nats yard? Sounds good to me!!!

I hope to get down to FL in 4 years.
Not now because I work at Fairfield University and I want my son to get his degree. College is free for my children and I want to see at least one of them take advantage of it. The older two didn't go to college but that is another story.
In 4 years I may have to change my plans again depending on the family situation here. My dad is alone now since my mom died last year so I have to make sure he is going to be taken care of, or drag him down to FL with me.
My brother is handicapped with MS. I am his conservator. So that may keep me here, but he is going downhill fast so he may not be here in 4 years.
But my sister in Winterhaven is ill and I really would like to be near her because her time is short too.

So my plan is 4 years.
I am planning on moving into Pincity. Nat is going down early so he can chose the land for the developers to start building.
Nat, put me down for a 3 bedroom, I need a guest bedroom or two. Peggie

Actually, we'd like to migrate NORTH....from Ft. Lauderdale to Orlando that is !!
DH has another 5 years minimum until retirement.....so in the meantime we do a lot of driving back & forth !! Joyce

LOL Joyce! I guess we might be migrating north as well. Although we live in CT, we have a place in Naples, FL that we love, but I would love to move closer to WDW. Our youngest is entering 7th grade. When she is in college, we're outta here! FL here we come!

I, too, am moving to Orlando. I already bought my retirement home. It's 15 minutes from the gate.

When? Not sure, but probably in 6 - 8 years.

Not now because my son is still in school, and my husband loves his job.

Joyce,

I'm with you, I want to migrate north!!! Someday maybe........ in the mean time, give me a call for those day trips, I'd love to go along for the ride!! LOL :D

Another one who plans to migrate north from Miami to the Orlando area. I figure maybe 5 to 10 years from now. Yougest needs to finsih college and then we will decide. DH is a real estate agent so can go anywhere in the state. I hope to be certified as an interpreter so the same would apply for me.

I plan to move to the UP of Michigan when I retire.

just on a different coast. LOL !
Doesn't anyone want to move South West ?
Barbara

Rick has already promised to move me 'home' to Disney someday!
Why not now? Simply because he hasn't found a job there-- we'd move in a heart beat!

Barbara-- Rick would also love to go to Ca-- he loved it out there when he was in the service. I don't really want to move THAT far from my mom, but I do have relatives out there and had a wonderful time out there for the convention-- so I'd even consider the DL area :)

I am awaiting my acceptance to the University of Florida.
Hopefully I get accepted, but if I don't I will be attending the University of Pittsburgh.
After college, I will be migrating to sunny Florida! I can't wait! I hate the cold weather!
I will also be doing the WDW College Program in college.

I would love to go south. I was thinking Pensacola. its closer to MCO than pittsburgh is! but I love the cold and snow. I would definitely miss it. (and no I'm not crazy!LOL)

I'm on the 10 plan...10 months that is.....hopefully jobs will be better down there by that time as that is part of the reason we didnt move there last christmas....but hopefully soon:):):):)

my husband and i are planning to set up a temporary household in Florida as soon as we can.
Maybe a condo - just to check the waters and see if that is what we want to do.

We have family obligations here that will keep us here for a while.

But one day we will be there for good.

My biggest problem is leaving my children here - they are grown and on their own - and doing quite well - but I am not sure I could just leave them here.

We will see.

Raul & I live in Casselberry..lovely town, just east of WDW..but too far for us..

Sometimes we have to drive 30-40 min to get there, and that is toooooo far..

The rest of our family lives near Universal, and they are close to all parks, and we are letting them
think we just want to be closer to the grandkids...(if they only knew)..

Raul is trying to talk me into a condo, so we don't have to worry about yard work on the week-ends
and that way we can spend more time in the parks..oops I mean w/ the grandkids..

Of course w/ all of having AP's we do like to take full advantage of them..

So come one..come all..the more the merrier...could imagine our great pin meets!!!

besides being sidelined w/ the flu for the last 2 wks, we are also putting our in "for sale)
condition..and that is putting a temporary glitch into our park time...soooo if any one is
interested in a lovely 3/2 w/ pool in lovely Casselberry, just drop me a note..

My DH and I are in the process of buying a house in Orlando but actually, no where close to the parks (about 40 minutes away). Right now it is for investment purposes but, hopefully down the road we can either move into this house our find something a little closer to "The World".
At least it is a step in the right direction. I also have the problem of leaving my grown children and grandchildren.

Mike & I are planning a move to the Orlando area in a year or so. Rent for a year or so, and then buy.

It's too cold here in Tampa.. we need to move farther south. Brrrr! ;)

Dar :bounce:

Dar can I ask what you consider cold? LOL! To me 35 is a heat wave in the winter.

Dar it is cold and nasty in Miami today too. Rained all day. Stay where you are.
