True story.

Yesterday I got blood drawn. The phlebotemist was from the Phillipines and she liked my hat. It had a dog on it.

She told me in the Phillipines, they eat dog, but it's been recently made illegal. She said if you have a dog, and it's a fat one, you must keep it inside, or the blackmarket dogmeat thieves will steal it! :earseek:

Then - she told me dog meat tastes like chicken! :earseek: :earseek: :earseek:

I thought I might puke. :crazy2:

You know I usually enjoy yours posts. :teeth: But geez this is something you could of kept to yourself. :badpc: ;) :teeth:

Now are you going to be here at 300 am when I have my nightmare? :teeth:

do you really want to know??????

Well, I've already heard one person say they ate it - and that was while losing 7 tubes of blood out of my body - if I didn't faint then, I guess I can take it once more. Did you? :earseek:

Having grown up in Asia, it was bound to happen. One evening, a friend of my parents came over with a dish he had prepared. Nothing too strange...this happened all the time. We all took a bite and then, with a big smile on his face, he told us it was dog. I thought I was going to die. My mom gave me a stern look...I just had to leave the room.

It tasted like roast beef....

we "lost" several dogs during our stay there.

I've eaten squirell and rabbit, but no dog. :confused3

We had some when we went to Korea this summer to pick up our son. Our friend forgot to tell us what it was until after we ate it and all said it was good :rolleyes1 . My DD 9 still talks about it today and she even told her class at school and all of the kids about died :rotfl: . While we were there we ate many questionable things(silk worm larva isn't very good at all) and some didn't taste very good but the dog probably the best  .

Wow. I appreciate your honesty. I really thought the woman was kidding at first, but then I realized she was totally serious. Apparently, it's the thing to do in Asian countries!
