I had the deep fried snickers bar for the first time. It was wrapped in a pastry cookie type dough. It was good but I think next year, I will try the deep fried milky way. I think all that dripping caramel will be pretty tasty.

not my favorite, but our fair is famous for their cheese curds.

also new this year - macaroni and cheese on a stick! I guess it's mac & cheese, breaded and then deep fried, sounds interesting

Tamie, this proves it--they'll fry anything at a fair.

My faves are fresh french fries with vinegar and fresh lemonade.

My favorite are the Natchitoches meat pies that the Harmony Baptist Church sells at the Festival of Lights. They are yummy.

ribbon fries are where they take a potatoe, and put it on some sort of device and make one long thin ribbon out of it. They deep fry them, and then they taste like fresh, hot potato chips.
