Inspired by Maistre Gracey: Who's going "home" for Thanksgiving?

We are! We are! I've always wanted to spend Thanksgiving in WDW. This year we are-OKW. Anyone else headed "home" for Thanksgiving?

Don't know if this counts, but I am headed ''home'' the Monday after Thanksgiving.

We always hope to be invited to Boston for Thanksgiving, so not us. It would be fun, I'm sure!!!

I think I am...plus son Clayton and maybe one of his friends. The school calendar for the next 2 years have just been approved, and both years the kids get Thanksgiving week, last week in Feburary, and first week in April. They don't get out for Christmas until the 22nd, so that blew my idea of going before the week before Christmas and attending MVMCP. My plan is to go the Friday/Saturday before Thanksgiving and leave the Friday after.

We're planning our first Thanksgiving trip this year. 11/18 to 12/4 @ BWV right now, but planning to try to shift 2nd week to another resort at 7 months.

We'll be at VWL for Thanksgiving. FYI MVMCP usually starts Thanksgiving weekend. The first night should be the Sunday of Thanksgiving weekend so you can still attend.

We've been during Thanksgiving week (2 years ago) and noticed that the crowds seemed to build during the week - day before TG was packed. We did not stay for the actual holiday
I would love to set up a TG trip with extended family and dine at the resort on the day (don't think I'd actually want to attempt creating a full dinner in a villa!). I guess I'm hearing that attendance levels are manageable?
