Boy do I feel kind of stupid right now, LOL, in a funny way.
I'm reading MagicalMoms thread about going to WDW as a kid and even though I was born in 1957, I had no clue DisneyWorld or Disney Land was a real place.
Any one else out there not know?
I grew up in Houston and we went to Astroworld once as a kid. I didn't care for it.
I remember watching DisneyWorld movies on TV. I remember thinking how cool the castle looked but I didn't know it was real.
I got married at 19 and someone started talking about Disneyland at work. That was my first clue that the castle on TV was real, LOL. The rest is history... except that I prefer DisneyWorld over Disneyland.
Now watch me be the only one on this thread that was clueless... LOL

:p

OMG, I inspired a thread! I feel so cool now!:hyper: When I was a child, I just assumed that WDW was where everyone went on vacation. We didn't go every year, but when we went it was so special. :) I love looking at the pictures of my family in WDW, especially of my Dad & I on Dumbo. I should borrow that one from Mom & scan it. :)

I certainly knew about Disneyland and that was the first "Disney" experience I had :)
