Just wondering if there are any other furbaby parents that call the kennel or wherever you board your pet while you are vacationing? We left our furbabies for the first time last December and I wanted to call everyday. Dear fiance wouldn't let me, but finally after 5 days I had to call. My vet assured me that I'm not the only Mom that calls, but my fiance thought it was silly. Anyone else do this??

MY DH made me call every day. The one day I didnt, he couldnt believe I didnt want to know how our babies were. When they stay home and we have the sitter come in, she calls each time she gets to the house. Our reason for that is we once had a sitter not show up and if we dont get a call, we can always have a family member get over to let them out. Our sitter now is the best.

Our little puppy Lucy will staying at a local kennel while we are on our Thanksgiving trip to the World. I dread it already but I am sure we will all survive.

I don't kennel them but have family keep them and yes, I call at least once a day. Usually more than that =) Partly to check on them but to also check on those keeping them - mine can drive anyone nuts!

If I have to leave my dog somewhere, I always call to make sure everything's ok. So, yes.

Yes, I call the kennel and I'm proud of it! I'm so excited that when we're on our honeymoon Toby doesn't have to go to the kennel because we're living with my family and they've agreed to watch the dog for us while we're gone. So, for a change he'll be able to stay in his own house and sleep in his own bed. I wonder if he'll miss us when we're gone.
