your spouse has given you?

My husband bought me a cute little set from Victorias Secret. When I was 7 months pregnant :rotfl: I guess he meant well, but man was timing way off and I was pissed.

Not really weird, just not clear thinking. He bought me Richard Simmons Deal a Meal. Men, never, ever, ever buy your wife a diet or weight loss product unless she specificially asks for it! Otherwise, YOU'RE asking for it! :teeth:

One year my DH put a Nunzilla in my Christmas stocking. It was a wind-up toy of an angry nun. When you wound her up she would walk and giant sparks came out of her mouth. Further down in the stocking he put a similar toy, but it was a godzilla. So, you could turn the lights off wind them up, set them towards each other, and watch Nunzilla and Sparkzilla battle it out. Some women get diamonds in their stockings, I get a Nunzilla.

Oh, and one time he gave me a pair of rubber gloves that you use to wash dishes!! He's usually very good with gifts, but this one was totally out of left field. I guess he thought they were special because they were from Williams Sonoma. Gourmet scrubbing gloves--what every wife wants for Christmas!

My DH used to get me jewelry every Christmas, but one year he decided I had enough (I don't have much occasion to dress up anymore!), so put a little more thought into it. That year when my female co-workers eagerly asked me what DH had bought me for Christmas, and I said (with stars in my eyes), "A heated mattress pad!"

It was such a thoughtful gift, because I'd been complaining about how cold the room and bed were every night. It is to this day one of my favorite Christmas gifts, but my co-workers just thought I was nuts. :confused3

Mine bought me one of those mats that you roll puzzles up on last year for Christmas. :confused3 That would have been fine IF we ever did puzzles and IF we didn't have a 3 and a 1 year old in the house!

I cant think of anything really odd. But, one year he gave me an iron. I nice, $100 Rowenta iron. I was doing a lot of quilting at the time, and wanted the iron. But, he had so many people lecture him about giving me an iron for a gift, and how wrong it was. He had to keep telling them- but its what she asked for, she wants it!

:rotfl: :rotfl:

That's what I was thinking when mine bought me an iron one time. I do not use an iron. I wear only non ironable clothes or they go to the dry cleaner.

Fortunately he has not topped the Pooh overalls. And hopefully never will. :scared1:

My first birthday gift from my husband was a canoe paddle.

That Christmas he got me a pair of Bean Boots.

A toilet seat!

We were in our first house & the toilet in my bathroom had an old porcelain seat, so it was basically the equivalent of getting out of bed in the morning and sitting on an ice ring. :scared1:

DH bought me a new-fangled plastic (i.e. warmer) seat, wrapped it up and gave it to me as a joke, but I think that puppy was installed before we got dressed Christmas morning!! :lmao:

Dh hasgiven me various cooking apperatice (sp?)- a warming tray, pyrex dish with a carrier, pots and pans, a roasting pan. I don't cook very often.

I have learned not to expect much from DH's gifts. He is not the best gift buyer for me. He is almost like he is buying for a stranger. Once he bought me a straight cut calf length dress. Now, I am 5' 2" on a good day and am shaped like a bowling pin. This dress was hideous on me I look like a butt walking around since you couldn't see a chest or feet.

Dh has also given me various cooking apperatice (sp?)- a warming tray, pyrex dish with a carrier, pots and pans, a roasting pan. I don't cook very often.

A Playgirl! When I opened the box the centerfold was folded so that was the first thing I saw!

NO I DID NOT ASK FOR IT! He and his best friend thought it would be hillarious and they were right, embarassed the crap out of me.

The Christmas of my senior year in High School my aunt and uncle gave me a butter dish. It was pink. :confused3 Just what every 18 year old wants, a butter dish. :teeth:

a troll doll

He thought I said I liked them.....when I had said I loathed them....plus I was 20. :confused3

The first Christmas after we became engaged, DH gave me a tiny little black velvet box wrapped very elegantly. My heart began to pound as I nervously ripped the paper away. I opened the box to find a beautiful :crazy2: *wedding band* that was part of a *set*, BUT I didn't see the other half!!! :confused3

Seems he and a buddy went out shopping together *Christmas Eve* after work and after a long visit to a local bar. This wedding band was about the only thing left in the jewelry store that he "thought" I might like. Right! We got that situation worked out and I didn't get "stuck" with someone elses wedding band. :sad2: You should see what I insisted on!!!!!!!! :rotfl:

My ex-husband got me a fishing pole our first christmas...now you know why he is my ex  . I sure hope he buys better gifts for his wife he has now :rotfl: .
