Inspired by JOANNA..Are the resorts on par with your other travel destinations?

I just stayed at the Hyatt Hill Country Resort outside of San Antonio, Texas. It is obvious that the Disney hotel folks have never visited that resort because if they had, they would reproduce it at WDW in a flash. Besides having a lovely Texas hill country theme, golf course, spa, etc., it has its own lazy river that is much much longer than any I've seen at a water park. It is themed to look and feel like your'e in an actual river - it widens and narrows and curves, has a sandy beach at one point, loads of shade, etc. Disney really needs to check out this resort!

We stayed at the Dolphin, Coronado Springs and the Hyatt at the airport on our trip. Our favorite room of the trip was at the Hyatt.

The Coronado rooms weren't anything spectacular. We've stayed in nicer rooms at the beach.

We loved the ambience of the Dolphin. The lobby is so beautiful and we loved the pool. We are staying at the GF next time (if we don't do DParis). I hope it compares favorably to the Dolphin.
