They are often referred to as the "Bridge & Tunnel Crowd" in NYC and generally looked upon with disdain.

I think they're funny. Little suburban kids with baggy pants going "imma gansta" One of my friends said "I'd just love to throw one of them into inner city Detroit and wait for them to start crying" (hes from detroit)

I didn't know there was another name for white people (guys and girls both) who dressed that way. We always called the the W word.

Also, where I grew up the W word referred not only to white people who tried to act/dress like black rappers, but as a interracial slur among the blacks. If a black person tried to act/dress 'white' then they were sometimes called a W too. Especially if they were lighter skinned.
