Doxydogy saved her DH from choking! Anyone else??

Yes. When I was a teenager I was helping my neighbor (with her toddler) deliver crystal from a party that she had had. The woman was outside when we drove up and told us to come on in. So the toddler got out of the car to play with her little dogs who were in the driveway and I got out after him while his mother reached back for the crystal.

What the homeowner didn't realize was that her DH was in the backyard with their German Shepherd, moving the dog from one chain to another. The dog heard us and broke away. He came charging up from nowhere and grabbed the toddler by the head. The female owner tried to stop the dog, but he threw her aside. I grabbed the toddler and threw him in the car.

The dog grabbed me by the hip and pulled me down on the ground. He was gnawing on the back of my neck when the male owner finally pulled him off. But it was worth it because the baby was okay.

I saved some drunk from getting ran over by a train. There was a line of traffic and this drunk just kept walking toward the tracks.
The engineers were yelling at him, they were blowing the horn, nothing phased him. I ran up to him and stopped him.

my freind at work had to go to a boring meeting, i called him on his cell, and he pretended i was important and left, so i saved him from being bored

Laura, were you alright afterwards?

Jason :teeth:

We both had to go to the hospital to get patched up, but all's well that ends well.

Do fur-babies count? Saved Cali from starving to death.:D

A pregnant coworker of mine called one morning telling me she was going to be late because she didn't feel well. I questioned her and found out she was cramping. We go to the same doctors so I told her either she calls or I will. I ended up at her house calling the ambulance (her husband had just left on a business trip and was in flight). It was an ectopic (sp?) pregnancy and she was very close to not making it herself. Had it been her choice she would have just remained laying on the floor at home.

Yup,

Former lifeguard here.

2 water rescues
1 CPR performance on a beach

All 3 made it!!

I've never saved anyone, but I was saved by my best friend while in high school. I didn't look and stepped right out in front of bus. He grabbed me and yanked my out of the way. The bus was so close, it snagged my jacket and tore it. Afterwards, my friend looked at me and said "Your whole life just flashed in front of my eyes!!" That got us laughing because we'd only know each other for 3 years. :jester:
I believe I owe him my life.

I pulled a kid out of the water at a hotel pool when we were away with DH's family.

My life was saved when I was 17. We were at the lake, and I was in waist deep water when I had a seizure. Next thing I know I am lying on the bank of the lake and rescue is standing over me. Come to find out there was a medical student from the Univ of Florida standing behind me. He was able to pull out of the water. Rescue told my parents that by the time my dad would have made it to me it would have been to late.

When I was about 7 several of us were playing in a wooded area behind our houses. One boy fell on a large piece of ornamental glass. Blood was everywhere. Kids scattered.

I put Kim in wagon that was there and wrapped my doll's blanket on his leg and pulled him home. Calling "Mrs Olar, Kim had an accident". He was operated on because his knee was terribly damaged and spent 2 weeks in the hospital. I got a new doll with lots of clothes and a new blanket.:D

Another time, I guess I was about the same age as before, my Dad was getting ready to shave. He had the razor in one hand and the blade in the other. He dropped the razor and when he leaned over to pick it up, he put a 5 inch diagonal slice in his arm. My Mother was there ironing his hankies. But she got sick when she saw the blood. He told me grab the stack of folded hankies and put them on the cut and get his belt and put that tight over them. He told me to get help and that he would probably be "sleeping " when I got back. Everything worked out. When it was over Dad said he was glad I took after him and not my Mother.

Sorry so long, Jason!

 Wow, I probably would have done the same thing your Mom Did!;)
