(inspired by CindyB) Do you wrap all of your Christmas presents?

Santa never wraps the gifts he leaves at our house. Mom and Dad always wrap their gifts. My little boy may be all grown up but Santa still leaves unwrapped gifts for him :)

The presents from Ray and I are wrapped.

Santa never wraps his presents or anything in the stockings;) All the pictures that I can remember of Santa from when I was little, showed unwrapped toys sticking out from his sack.

Santa never wrapped gifts when I was little and he doesn't for my children either. I remember the excitement of coming downstairs and seeing everything Santa sent all put together and ready to use. Still had the surprise and fun of opening presents from relatives and Mom and Dad, but I loved to "see" everything from Santa right away and I hope that's the same for my children. We always had separate piles with our stockings placed in front so it was plain to see who was who's....even with 9 of us.

We had both. Some things from Santa were left unwrapped and were there for the WOW effect when we first got a look at the tree in the morning. If there was any question about who something might be for, there was a tag on it.

(These days we like to do "A Christmas Story" with our unwrapped gifts, no matter who they're for: "OH BOY! THIS IS MIIIIIIIIIIIIINE!!!")

Wow--I have to say I am so surprised to hear that so many people don't wrap the gifts from Santa! I don't know ANYONE who does that and never heard of it. I wonder if it's a geographical thing:confused: That's what I love about threads like this--finding out the little things people do differently. We wrap EVERYTHING including stocking stuffers (most of the time--depending on how tired this elf is on Christmas Eve) and the gifts from Santa are color coordinated to each child with no tag. Gifts from mom and dad have tags. Our children open one or two presents from us on Christmas Eve (usually pj's and something very special) as well as their presents to each other.

Oooh, I'm getting excited thinking about it.:Pinkbounc :bounce:

Grew up with Santa's gift UNwrapped. We were four kids and we would wake up to four separate displays of toys.

Santa doesn't wrap in my house now but he has EXTRA BIG gift bags that get full of toys, tied, and placed with a gift card that says from Santa.

Seems like santa doesn't have 1 sack of toys but 1 sack for each kid around here...

All our gifts (even from Santa) are wrapped unless they are too large. And every once in a while a doll or stuffed animal remains unwrapped. Oh, and Santa paper is always different from Mom and Dad's paper. It's a tradition. ;)

Each and everything gets wrapped around here, even the stocking stuffers. Santa has a different color wrapping paper, always. I also have ribbons and bows or curly cues on each gift.

There is something wrong with me, LOL. I'm aware of it, and I've come to accept it. :teeth:

TimeForMe, I do think its a regional thing too about not wrapping gifts from Santa. The first I ever heard of this was here on the DIS, several Christmases ago. I thought I might try it, since wrapping all those gifts is a chore, but I could never get used to the idea that toys would be sitting out in the open.

We wrap EVERYTHING. I have even wrapped bikes(well, it was kind of draped). This after I overheard DS, about 10 at the time, confidently telling someone "My Mom can wrap ANYTHING." My fate was sealed. I DO love to wrap, and only one person at a time can be unwrapping at our house Christmas morning. This stretches things out considerably. Plus it's fun to watch one another.

Santa not wrapping is common in my area.

When I was younger, my mom always wrapped the presents from her, but Santa never wrapped presents.

We wrap all presents. Santa has his own special wrapping paper, it has Santa's on it. He even has his own huge Santa head gift tags with curly white ribbons as his beard. They are too cute!!
Stocking stuffers get wrapped in a certain paper too.
Even gifts that get put into cute gift bags get wrapped.
Santa uses gift bags too, they all have Santa's on them!:) :)

I LOVE WRAPPING PRESENTS!!!! :)

all gifts get wrapped here, even the stockings, Santa wraps in different paper of course. We get really into wrapping, Cd's and books get wrapped in big boxes with really heavy things in them like bricks, and we all take turns opening gifts.

all gifts get wrapped unless it is really big! but not by me. i am horrible at it. i do all the shopping and my boyfriend does all the wrapping. works great if you ask me!

So which region is the one that Santa doesn't wrap in? And is it because of the route he takes? Does he get lazy later on in the night? ;)
