Inspired by Browneyes thread on breakfast attire, do you drive in your jammies

I don't anymore, but on the rare occasion that I drove the kids to school I would drive them in my nightgown, robe and slippers. I made sure I had my cell phone, just in case I had car trouble, so I could call DH. I would have been embarrassed to have to walk up to someone's house in my gown and robe. :o

I do it sometimes. I have a lot of pajama pants and they're so comfortable that I never want to take them off. I also wear some old uniform shirts when I'm lounging around the house. Sometimes when I pick up my sister from school I don't feel like changing, so I go out in pajamas.

Nope - learned that lesson from my mom. When she was little, my grandma drove her to school in a nightgown and curlers and guess what? the car broke down. They were BOTH humiliated when she had to walk in to the school to use the phone!

I drive my dd to school every morning in my jammies. I hate when im getting out of my truck and neighbors walk up and start talking to me. The other day an older (late 60's id guess) male neighbor came running up to me as my garage door was closing. He was standing there talking to me about weeds while i'm in my jammies with no bra  trying to cover myself. Talk about embarassing :o

If I have to take my son to school early and I'm not teaching that day I will run him over in my PJs.:teeth:

The only thing I'll do in my jammies (sweatpants and sweatshirt, or shorts and T-shirt depending on the weather - yeah, I know - real attractive, but Oh, so comfy!) is drive down to the mailbox to get the paper. Yes, I'm lazy, but it's a really long driveway with a very steep hill coming back up. :teeth:

I used to, but then one day I took my DH to base early (it was before 6 am). Since I planned on going back to bed, I just wore my pjs. BIG MISTAKE! Sometimes they do a full search on your car, didn't everyone know that?! Well, I didn't because it had never happened to me. They make you pop your hood and trunk and stand outside next to the guard while they search your car. Oh, out of the goodness of their heart, they let you leave your kids in the car, so my DDs didn't have to show the world THEIR pjs. But I did, I had to stand their in my flannel frog pj pants and matching shirt (thank god I wore a bra) with the guard and my DH making jokes about me and taking their sweet time to check out my car. Since then I have gotten up and put on real clothes.

I KNEW I loved you guys for a reason!! Finally, validation for being a slob!! I DO wear my pj's (actually, it's an old Tshirt, )but I just crawl out of bed,put on a pair of old shorts, and wear them while I drive the kids to school, or clean the house, or pick up a pizza. Have worn the lounge pants out in the winter, too. I know that someday, someone I know will catch me. But until then, it's nice to know that I am in good company!!::yes:: :chat:

I've already gotten a traffic ticket where the police officer made me get out of the car and stand behind it while he wrote me a ticket for speeding WHILE IN MY PAJAMAS IN THE RAIN ON A BUSY FREEWAY!!!!!!!

As soon as I walk into my house I change into my PJ's even if it is only for an hour.

I guess it all depends if I've gotten ready for the day yet. If I've already got clothes out and my hair and makeup is done, then I wear clothes. If I still look terrible, I wear the PJ's. (Like I'm gonna get hit on when my hair is a frow with no makeup!) --(Although, you wouldn't believe the creeps at Walmart :( )

Definitely!:teeth: I love My Jammies! I have some really cute PJ pants that I'll wear w/a t-shirt or tank top and most people never even realize that they're pj's and I'll wear those lots of places then I have some I'll just wear if I'm not getting out of the car and some that I won't wear out of the house for one reason or another. I love my jammies so much in fact that on Christmas morning I never even change otta my jammies before going to my Mom's for breakfast- why should I, that early in the morning my parents and nephews will still be in theirs. And alot of times wear them tio my Grandparents house for lunch too (but I always wear my nice new ones then, usually Disney- Like the great Tinkerbell set I got this year!) Jammies are NOT just for sleeping!!!:Pinkbounc  :yo-yo: :Pinkbounc

Absolutely. I got pulled over a few years ago wearing my Elmo Jammies (with button hatchback over the rear end, they were a gift, the first thing I yanked out of the drawer to wear when my brother called me and he was stranded at the movies). The cop got a real kick out of them. I did almost get a citation for driving barefoot, however.

Have driven in my jammies a few times but that was only because I was getting up in the miuddle of the night to collect/drop-off someone at the airport!!
